PANA-AD SA NEGROS FESTIVAL 2009


"Mother of all Festivals" 

"Panaad" is the Hiligaynon for a vow and its fulfillment.

The biggest festival in Negros Occidental, the PANAAD FESTIVAL, started in 1993 as a thanksgiving celebration and a fulfillment of a promise and vow to the Divine Providence in exchange of good life as well as a showcase of the best of Negros Occidental.
   
It features 32 festivals that brings together 13 cities and 19 towns of Negros Occidental into one colorful and jubilant presentation of individual festivals and in an array of theme pavilions that showcase their history, arts and culture, tourism, commerce, trade, and other industries.

The annual PANAAD sa NEGROS FESTIVAL is being held at the Panaad Park and Stadium, Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City.This year is the 16th year of Panaad sa Negros Festival scheduled on April 18 to 25.

AMENDMENTS IN INVESTMENT INCENTIVES CODE EYED


THE Iloilo City Council is proposing amendments to Regulation Ordinance No. 2006-114 (Iloilo City Investment Incentives Code of 2006) to attract more businesses in the metropolis.

Vice Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog proposed amendments to Section 17 of the incentive code during the council’s regular session Wednesday. 

The council referred the measure to the committee on economic promotions chaired by Councilor Jose Espinosa III.

The proposed amendments include exemption from the payment of taxes during the construction phase of any business in the city with P100 million or more capitalization.

Another amendment is the exemption of big construction businesses from the truck ban imposed by Traffic Engineering and Management Unit.  READ MORE...

Go Negosyo sa BICOL EXPRESS! AWARDEES

This year's Go Negosyo Caravan kicked off with the "Go Negosyo sa Bicol Express" last January 30, 2009 held at the Camarines Sur Convention Center
